Electric Michelangelo Question 5

what do you think about Cy's thoughts on the mermaids - as they relate to female sexuality, implied or obvious? Does the foreshadowing of the Pisces vaginales serve to intensify this connection, or lighten it with some humor?

what do you think of Riley's (and then Cy's) connection between women and the smell of rain or the sea?

i loved that she wrote about this because to me this discussion made cy that much more real. it seemed real to me that a tattoo artist would want to talk about what he did and did not like to tattoo and what he thought about his artwork. i especially like it because being part a culture that is connected to the sea we see a lot of nautical tattoos. also i googled "pices vaginales" and this came up:

good question on women and the smell of rain. to me the smell of rain is like a cleansing clean organic fresh smell. oddly the reason rain "smells" is from bacteria (or thats what i remember from 4th grade science) so maybe the cleanliness and purity reminds him of women???

pink - cool website. personally, i would not have been creative enough to associate a fish tail with anything sexual, but i guess it doesnt seem too absurd.

as for the rain: it smells different in different places. so to me, each woman would have her own scent. but it's still all water... in general, i like the constant motif of the ocean/water/rain as a woman/lover/wife/life force.
